Keith Gave covered the Red Wings for 15 years as beat writer for the Detroit Free Press. He was there as the team won the Stanley Cup back-to-back in 1997 and 1998. Gave is the author of four books, including the Russian Five, which tells the story of how the five Red Army Hockey Club stars wound up in Detroit and the initial role he played in the ultimate defection of Vladimir Konstantinov and Sergei Fedorov. We discuss that period, the present day Red Wings and his new book, "The Grind Line," detailing another group of legendary Red Wings who played a vital role in the team's championships.
